Why we exist
Most software is built by people who've never done the work the software is supposed to support. The result is tools that fight the user instead of fitting them — dashboards built for the boardroom, workflows that don't match how the job actually gets done, products that assume things the people on the ground know aren't true.
We do it the other way around. We don't pretend to know your business better than you do. We bring the AI engineering. You bring the operational understanding. Together we build something that fits. This applies across industries — trades, oil & gas, professional services, office work, anywhere the gap between software and reality is hurting the people using it.
The Founder
Janson Mundy · Founder
Founded by someone who's been on the other end of bad software.
Janson spent 11 years in the oilfield, using software designed by people who'd never done the work. He knows what bad fit feels like from the user's side — not from a product manager's deck. The long hitches, the weather, the equipment, the way the job actually flows when nobody is watching from an office.
He pivoted into engineering: robotics and automation training at SAIT, full-stack development at the University of Calgary, then three years working on commercial robotics maintenance and repair. The combination is unusual on purpose — deep operational perspective paired with the engineering depth to actually build the alternative.
He started Onsite Intelligence on a simple premise: the people doing the work are the experts on the work. Onsite Intelligence brings the AI engineering; the customer brings the operational understanding. The product gets built together.
